Transform Fresno Project #: CEPTitle: Bike Safe FresnoCategory: Active TransportationPartners/Organizations: USGBC-CC, Fresno County Bicycle Coalition, Urban Diversity Design, West Fresno Family Resource Center, Edison High School, CSU Fresno, City of FresnoStatus: CompleteEstimated Completion: August 2021

Project Summary: Bike Safe Fresno engages the community in a conversation on biking through bicycle education and bike to school activities. Through our program, we look to increase knowledge about bicycle usage and ways to advocate for safer streets for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Project Details: This bicycle education program will educate and engage active transportation users and raise awareness for safety of bikers in the general population. The program aims to increase safety of riders and usage of existing bicycle facilities by promoting save driving practices, share information about current and future infrastructure, including TCC trail projects. This project is led by USGBC-CC. COVID19 response changes: We are moving programming online to engaging website and virtual meetings.

We offer 6 bicycle workshops between fall 2020 and summer 2021 and work with students on a bike to school project in the Spring 2021. Find more info and upcoming meetings at usgbccc.org/bikesafefresno
